How to Know if a Coworker is Into You

Work is one of the places where you spend the most time each day. The affinity and bond you create with your peers is very strong because you spend more time with them than with your own family. So, it is very easy for feelings to develop or for two people in an office to feel attracted to one another, firstly due to the amount of time spent together and secondly, as you'll feel safe and secure that you will see them again tomorrow. There are several clues that can indicate if a person is flirting with you or not. If you want to discover how to know if a coworker is into you, OneHowTo will give you some indicators so you can find out.

Steps to follow:

1

If they continually smile at you, something might be happening. Smiles are part of a cordial relationship among coworkers, but when that smile is repetitive and is for any reason, or even without one, you may believe that a coworker is into you.

2

If you notice that they get nervous when you're close, your presence may make them feel expectation and anxiety. Clumsy hand movements or continually changing their posture while you're in front of them may indicate they are interested in you. If they like you they will become nervous and blush at any of your comments, this happens due to nerves and the fact that they don't know how to act in front of you.

3

If they usually catch your eye or look for contact, this could be a sign of their desire for closeness. If you physically work in the same space, you may notice that they are looking at you all the time, which means they like you. It is also possible they may look for more physical contact and may try to find any excuse to make conversation with you.

It's easy to meet people in corridors, in the kitchen or at the vending machine when buying a coffee at work, so you may notice that they always casually bump into you when you take a break. Any excuse to brush past you will also be a clear indication that they're into you.

You'll know when a coworker likes you when they imitate your actions or opinions. In other words, when you see your actions reflected by them as if they were your alter ego. They will try to match your opinion perfectly, or that the same thing makes you both laugh.

You'll notice that they truly imitate your actions because they will want to impress you, to make you think that they are like you, and that you have a great shared affinity.

5

Another good way of working out if a coworker fancies you is if they copy your posture. If they listen to you whilst tilting their head, for example, this is a clear sign that they are listening to you attentively, particularly if you are talking about something work related which doesn't seem that interesting. Another posture is when they place their hands on their hips, which is another sign that denotes security and flirtation.

6

It is normal for coworkers to help each other, but if you notice that they help you too much, whilst leaving their own work to help you or they defend you on any point during a meeting or work question, they may be wanting to tell you that they like you. Doing this reveals that they want the best for you as you are of the utmost interest to them.

Finally, if you notice that they ask you a lot about your private life, it's not just because of work issues, but rather that they have an interest in your life outside of that environment. This is because they want to find out as much about you as they can, more than you know yourself, to learn about what you like. Perhaps they want to surprise you or invite you to something or give you something that you're passionate about.

If, on top of all that, you bump into each other at an event outside of work after they?ve learnt about your plans, you can safely guess that the answer is yes and your co-worker fancies you.
